4 Top Tips to Help Unwind

Everyone needs to unwind even a little bit or a lot. Life has many stresses. We live in a very chaotic time. Families are struggling with responsibilities, people need jobs, and seniors need more help. No matter what is going on in your life you need to regroup and recharge your batteries or you will crash and burn. Massage therapy is an excellent way to de-stress and unwind.   It's very hard to relax, and it's often easier said than done when people tell you that you need to relax. Relaxing can be hard work too. Some people actually feel stressed when they try to relax because they can't turn off their minds and feel guilty about not taking care of something that needs to be done. It's time to turn off the electronics and cut off communication to focus on YOU. You are no good to your family or your job if you don't take care of YOU first. Think of it this way – when you are getting ready for takeoff and the stewardess is going over the safety rules, she informs you to put on your oxygen mask first before your child. By taking care of YOU, then you are able to care for your child.  So as hard as it may seem, you have to make the time to help you unwind. You will feel better and your family will notice and appreciate you more too.  

Tips to Help Unwind

  • Turn off all electronics and allow yourself time to think about you.
  • Give yourself a spa day once or twice a month if possible. Try a different massage each time you go. Any massage will invigorate you and get your blood circulating while relaxing you.
  • Plan your mani/pedi and try some nail art or French manicure to add a little fun.
  • Have a facial and soak in the hydration.
