Back to School Skin Care

Fall skin care is important because the air is drier than it is in the summer. It will make the skin dried out, causing cracks on some areas like the feet and hands. There are some things that you can do to ensure proper skin care so that it stays moisturized and healthy. Skin care for dry skin should include a regimen of applying lotion at least every other day. Use something that has a variety of vitamins and minerals. Examine the kind of body wash that you use. Avoid gels, and use a wash that has a creamy base. Items that have a milk content are ideal for the fall season. You will also find the pleasing scents of pumpkin and apple in the fall. The best time to apply any kind of lotion or moisturizer is when you get out of the shower. The product will help keep the water from your shower locked into the skin. A product with cocoa butter will keep the skin nourished and moisturized through the day. The face is an area that sees a lot of changes in the fall. The lips will dry out, and you might notice that the area on the chin is getting dry. Get a chapstick that will prevent cracked lips, especially if you plan on being outside for extended periods of time in cold or windy weather. Apply a facial mask at least once a week to rid the face of any dead skin. Don't forget about your feet in the fall. This is the time when the feet will get cracked the most, so you need to use a good foot scrub that will exfoliate the area while adding moisture. Just because the cooler air of fall arrives doesn't mean that you need to neglect your skin. This is usually the time when you need to provide proper skin care the most.
