Plan a Blissful Party

Spa parties are a wonderful way to treat yourself and your friends to a day of well-deserved pampering. Spa treatments make everyone feel special. With a little planning, you can have a spa day that's as relaxing for you as it is for your guests.   1. Decide on the venue. Find a day spa with enough room for your group. Your guests will appreciate a spa environment that's clean, bright and soothing. Once you've decided on the right place, meet with the spa management to set out the ground rules. Ask if you'll be in a special section of the spa. Remind your guests to observe spa etiquette and not disturb other guests with loud talking.
2. Plan the payment. Are you paying for each guest or is everyone paying their own way? If you are covering the bill, specify to the spa staff which treatments each guest will receive and ask them to alert you about any extras your guests try to order.   Popular spa treatments that most people enjoy are massages, manicures and pedicures, deep hair conditioning and facials. You can't go wrong with some mix of these.   3. Think about food and drink options. If the day spa you've chosen serves food, that's ideal. Again, be clear about who is paying for what. Will you cover the whole check for a preplanned menu or use individual checks?   If you're bringing your own food in, try finger sandwiches, fruit plates, cheese plates and warm rolls. For drinks, think bubbly. Champagne and sparkling non-alcoholic cider are a good fit with the lighthearted spa environment. Again, make sure your guests follow spa etiquette and don't overindulge; also, confirm that the spa allows alcohol on its premises before you bring in any.   Spa parties create wonderful memories and good feelings that last long after the party is over. You deserve one and so do your friends.
