Cool Down with Peppermint Oil

Today more people are looking for natural remedies to cure whatever sickness, pain or discomfort they are experiencing. Many find essential oils very helpful, and I'm going to give you a firsthand review of how peppermint oil helped me. Peppermint essential oil has a calming effect on the body and gives a cooling sensation. When used topically it can help relieve sore muscles. It is for soothing digestive issues and freshening bad breath. A one-year breast cancer survivor, I'm still getting used to the changes to my body and the side effects of cancer meds. One uncomfortable side effect of my meds is body heat. I get these heat surges that are very unpleasant and embarrassing in public. So you can imagine living in Florida and trying to stay cool all the time is not easy. But this is something I can deal with because I am grateful to be alive. Last week I was sitting in one of our local café's in downtown Melbourne with a few girlfriends sipping ice teas and chatting. I noticed two women sitting at the next table from us were listening to our conversations. Suddenly one of my heat surges came on. Trust me they are worse than a hot flash. One of the women at the other table came over to me and said, "I see you are having a difficult time, do you mind if I help you?" Naturally, I was a little taken back at this stranger that sat next to me and put her arm around my shoulder. She went on to quickly let me know she uses essential oils and gives classes. She introduced us to her friend who is a massage therapist. Well, at least now it made sense why they were being friendly. So this started an interesting conversation with my friends and these two women. She pulled out this tube that appeared to be a roll-on and asked if she could apply it on the back of my neck. I must tell you it instantly felt great. I informed her I was not having a hot flash and this is a side effect of my cancer meds. Wow, then she wanted to rub it under my feet because she said it would help my lymphatic system. Amazing......no lie.....I totally stopped sweating and felt relief. My friends were even amazed at the results. Consider requesting essential oils when you have your next massage. Ask for peppermint oil. You will feel refreshed!
