For most of us, heading to the day spa is a rare treat. Fortunately, you don't have to be at the spa to get a sense of the same luxury. Instead, we have compiled a list of DIY treatments below, including recipes for your favorite hair, skin, and nail products. Sort through our list of skin care scrubs and manicure creams--all equally lavish--and compile a few recipes for an easy and affordable spa party when you are in between your normal spa visits!

Hair Care

Is your hair unruly and dry between treatments? This banana-olive oil hair mask will have your hair feeling silky smooth and full of nutrients. Mash half a banana in a bowl and combine with two tablespoons olive oil and one tablespoon of honey. The potassium in the banana will help to heal dry, damaged hair, while the olive oil and honey lock in moisture and promote a healthy scalp. Smooth the mixture on over dry or damp hair, then wrap with a warm, damp towel and wait ten to twenty minutes. Rinse with cool water and shampoo afterward. Is your hair unruly and dry between treatments? This banana-olive oil hair mask will have your hair feeling silky smooth and full of nutrients. Skin Care

One of the best parts of the day spa is undoubtedly the facials.  But when you don't have the time, a home version will suffice. This skincare option can be achieved in your own home. For a soothing facial mask, look no further than your fridge. Combine one teaspoon of plain yogurt with a bit of fresh orange juice and one teaspoon of aloe. Smooth over your face and leave for ten minutes, then rinse with cool water. Your skin will be left feeling smooth and fresh!

Nail Care

A manicure is another luxury that can be easily achieved from your own home with the right tools. Consider investing in a nail file, a cuticle clipper, and some good quality base and top coats. You can also make your own cuticle cream with a bit of coconut oil and lemon juice!  Whether you're between treatments at the day spa or are looking to throw a little spa party with some of your close friends, the DIY treatments are sure to leave you feeling pretty and posh after a long day.
