I don't know about you, but I just feel awesome with a new manicure and pedicure. I love being pampered. My mani/pedi's are so refreshing and boost my self esteem. We all feel good when we look good. Whether you have a regular manicure or high end, every working girl would benefit with a good manicure in the professional world. It's all about preference for most people. A basic manicure is fine. But when you want to go beyond the basics and explore other options, it can become confusing to know which one you want to try.So let's take a look at the differences between Acrylic, Gel and Shellac Nails. I'm sure you will be able to decide which option is right for you. Acrylics and Gels are fake nails which are placed on top of your natural nails. Both types can match the shape of your natural nail and extend them. When you are looking for longer nails, these options are for you. If you have weak nails these will make them stronger. However, long term use will actually weaken your natural nails. Shellac is a blend of gel and nail polish. The main benefit is that it reduces chipping. Shellac is less damaging to nails than traditional Gels or Acrylics. Since Shellac is like a polish, it can't be used to extend your nails. Creative Nail Design (CND) created the patent pending nail product Shellac. Shellac is applied similar to nail polish with no sculpting or filing. It is cured through UV lighting just like Gels.
