So you have decided to treat yourself to your first massage. Good for you. It's your first one and you are not sure what to expect after your little well deserved "me time" experience. You've heard your friends talk about massage therapy and how it improves their sleep habits and healthy living. Now you can share your first massage experience with them and join the conversation with your own massage experience.   Massage treatments are great stress reducers for yourself and great gifts for friends and family. People actually prefer a nice massage to relieve muscle and joint pain. Massage also helps with circulation and removes toxins from the body. Massage is a healing therapy involving manipulation of the body's soft tissues. Many say a good massage therapy really helps sleep habits and relaxation. Massage is also very uplifting for the mind.

Recommendations after massage

  • Drink 2-3 extra glasses of water after your massage that day. Water flushes out toxins in your body.
  • Do some stretching before you go to bed and when you wake up to keep muscles loose and get your circulation going.
  • Go for a nice relaxing walk.
  • Apply an ice pack to any sore areas for about 15-20 minutes every couple of hours.
