How To Host A Relaxing Spa Day For Your Kids
A spa day can be a fun way to relax and feel rejuvenated. Creating a spa in your home is a fun way for kids to enjoy a relaxing day without the expense of a real spa. Even better, it's an activity that kids can do with their friends.
To get started on your home day spa, you'll need to cover the basics. This includes the different treatments you want to make available. Generally, most spas offer different skincare treatments, manicures, pedicures, and facials. There are different products you can use for each of these services that your spa will offer. Once you know how many kids you'll be hosting at your home spa day, it's a good idea to price the products you'll need. Make sure the products you use are free from allergens and always check to see what allergies your kid clients might have to avoid possible reactions.
First, you'll need to set the atmosphere and make it fun for kids. You can't just throw all of your spa supplies and products out on the kitchen table and call it a spa. That's no fun. Pick a room in your house to create your spa. It can be the living room, a spare bedroom, or any other space that works well.
Then you'll need to turn the space into a spa. You can download some relaxing meditation music to play in the background. Also, think about mood lighting and have a few scented candles. Set up a table with a variety of treats the kids can enjoy while waiting their turn for their manicure or facial treatments, or after they're finished. Finally, make sure there are plenty of comfortable places for them to sit.
Next, set up your day spa supplies for facials, pedicures, manicures, and other skincare treatments. They can probably get the manicure and pedicure in the same chair but will need a place to lay down for the facial. Buy a couple of foot bath buckets and fill them with warm water for the kids to soak their feet while waiting for their next treatment.
