For many of us sleep is a luxury. Life has its way of running us ragged and sometimes we just can't get the proper amount of sleep to sustain our daily life. It's very important to manage sleep patterns for our mental and physical health. We must find something every day that helps us to relax and de-stress. Freedom from tension is imperative if we are to live a healthy life.   Healthy sleep habits make a big difference in your quality of life. Our body needs anywhere from 6 to 8 hours of sleep every day in order to repair itself and refresh itself for the next 24 hours. As long as you take the time to understand your sleeping habits and practice discipline, you can learn how to adjust your sleep schedule. Unfortunately, things beyond our control may interfere with our sleep patterns and it may be necessary for us to change our sleeping habits accordingly.  So why not de-stress with a massage? Massage therapy does wonders for mental and physical relaxation. Having a massage increases blood flow circulation and assists with eliminating toxins from the body. You want to create a calming effect which will enable you to enjoy better sleep and freedom from tension.

Change your bedtime habits

Develop a sleep routine

Wake up every day at the same time if possible. Go to bed around the same time every day. Avoid alcohol and caffeine in the evening. Avoid eating meals 2 hours before bedtime.

Find calming, relaxing activities to do before bedtime

Take a nice bubble bath with essential oils. Do not watch TV or use a computer near bedtime. Turn off cell phones!! No phones in bed. Make sure your sleep area is quiet, dark and is at a temperature you find comfortable.
