How often should I get a massage?

One of the best things about massage therapy is that it is tailored to the individual needs of the client. If your massage is for relaxation purposes, one or two visits a month might be sufficient. However, you might need therapy more often if you are treating a specific problem or area of your body.

I'm not in perfect shape. Is the massage therapist going to judge my body?

There is absolutely no judgment during a massage or any other type of spa treatments. Your therapist is a professional who has worked with clients of all different ages, body types, and sizes. In addition, draping is used during your massage, so your body will be mostly covered at all times.

Can I keep some clothes on during my massage?

Before your massage begins, you should undress to your level of comfort. This is different for each client at our day spa, and that's OK. Your therapist will give you time to undress in private. If you prefer to keep your underwear or other items of clothing on during a full body massage, your massage therapist will do her best to work around them.

Does it hurt to get a massage?

There are many different types of spa treatments and massages available, and your therapist will explain the different options and strokes to you. A massage should never cause severe pain. In a deep tissue massage, you might feel minor soreness as tight muscles are being worked on, but your therapist will be happy to modify techniques at any time if you are feeling pain.

Can I talk during my massage?

Many people come to the day spa to relax, so they want a low level of conversation during their session. However, you are welcome to talk during massage therapy if that's what makes you comfortable. Your therapist will ask questions about desired pressure during your session to ensure you get maximum benefits from your massage.
