Proper Footwear A Must!

Posted: April 20th, 2016

When taking a well-deserved trip to the day spa, wearing the proper footwear for getting pedicures is an absolute must. You may think this sounds silly, but please read on! Pedicures cost money after all, and who wants to pay for day spa services only to be let down when sliding on their shoes and ruining abeautiful, newly painted pedicure? Of course, it's my own fault for not coming prepared. Plus, you want to show those freshly done tootsies off once you leave the salon and take on the day!  Sandals are a great and functional choice of footwear for getting pedicures as they offer easy on and off. Plus, if you choose to wear closed toe shoes, you will be supplied with those uncomfortable throwaway slippers which are simply not a good look on anyone, even at the day spa. But, they are there for a reason; your pedicurist does not want her hard work wrecked, either! Be prepared and simply forgo the socks and boots, it is not worth the headache of a ruined pedicure, or even worse, walking around the establishment barefoot and accidentally stepping on something harmful. Not to say that a reputable day spa will have dangerous objects scattered across the floor, but accidents do happen, and you do not want to be one of them!   Day spa services such as massages and pedicures are meant to be a relaxing treat for yourself, as they very well should be. The goal is to walk out looking and feeling your best, happy and relaxed. Keep your health, safety, and sanity, along with everyone else's intact by being a responsible client. Now go get a fresh pink coat painted on those puppies and enjoy!
