We've all been there growing up with those nasty breakouts during adolescence. All the hormonal changes and oily skin, it's nearly impossible to avoid breakouts, pimples, blackheads, and for some serious acne. Acne leaves scars, they can be a mild case or they can be very deep scars. Either way it's not pleasant if it bothers you.
Acne scars can even hurt your self esteem.
Hygiene is extremely important. It's best to start with a good skin care regimen from an early age and stick with it. Skin care products are always being developed and new formulas are available to try. Our skin changes as we age and so our skin care products need to change as well. Oily skin becomes combination skin and dry skin as we get older.
Home Remedies to Remove Acne Scars
Aloe Vera – is a great natural healer. It not only soothes swollen skin, it helps regenerate damaged tissues helping along the healing process. Works best if fresh gel is used directly from the aloe vera leaf than an over the counter product.
Olive Oil – contains a lot of vitamins (A, D, E, C, B1 and B2), iron and antioxidants. The anti-inflammatory properties in olive oil also help remove acne scars.
Lemon Juice – the vitamin C in lemon helps in rebuilding collagen. Lemon is natural bleach. So applying the juice to acne spots will help them get lighter each day.
Baking Soda – another popular remedy for removing acne scars with its exfoliating effects. Baking soda mixed with water is a gentle way of removing dead skin layers off your face without creating inflammation.
Makeup – is often used to conceal acne scars. This is a great quick fix when you need to cover up a new zit before going out to an important event.
Of course if you suffer from severe acne you should seek the help of a good dermatologist. They will usually run some tests and treat you with medication or creams. There is always help.
