The Eyebrows Have It!

The eyebrows are a very important feature on your face. They not only frame your eyes, but they show your expressions. The shape of your brows can make your eyes appear bigger or smaller and even widen your face. There are several different eyebrow styles to shape your eyebrows. The procedures include waxing, tweezing/plucking or threading. Eyebrow plucking is very common, although more people are waxing today as well. It is recommended to guide your natural shape and not over pluck. Keep in mind than thin brows make you look older. The modern brows worn today are thick and bigger.  Waxing works well for thick or bushy eyebrows. It's best to have this done by a professional technician at the day spa. These technicians are trained and licensed with a lot of experience in eyebrow styles. Discussing personalized skin care and skin care products with your technician is an added plus. The waxing process involves applying a thin layer of hot or cold wax on the unwanted hair to be removed. A cloth strip is then placed on it and pulled off very quickly. This process pulls the hair from its follicle. Avoid this method if you have sensitive skin.   Eyebrow plucking with a tweezer is the easiest way to remove unwanted hair. This is the best method for maintaining your eyebrow shape, keeping them groomed. The best time to pluck your eyebrows is after a shower. Your pores are open, making it easier to remove the hair with less pain. Don't go overboard with the tweezer. Sometimes we can't help ourselves and get carried away. It's best to work in a line jus to maintain your natural shape.   Whichever method you decide to use, you will probably stay with that choice. Waxing isn't for everyone. But waxing does last longer than tweezing.
