The Heat Is On

Posted: July 22nd, 2016

This heat could choke a horse, right? Some say its global warming and others say, El Nino. No matter what you want to believe, it's just too darn hot. That's why we need to find ways to beat the heat. A great escape from the heat is a visit to the day spa. A little pampering with some spa treatments is sure to make you feel good and refreshed. Plus the fact you are indoors with the A/C to keep you cool.   I don't know about you, but the heat makes me irritable and uncomfortable. The tranquil surroundings of the day spa are so relaxing. Massage therapy with some peppermint essential oils is a wonderful way to cool down. I promise you will feel relief. Peppermint oil gives great cooling relief.  Try a new haircut or hairstyle for the summer. The day spa beauticians can help you with the perfect style for your face. If you really do not want to cut your hair, ask for some easy styling tips for putting your hair up in the daytime and let it down for a night on the town.   The heat also brings perspiration and clogged pores. A good skin care regimen will keep your face clean, fresh and clear of breakouts. Try a spa facial with exfoliators to unclogged sweaty pores and get rid of dead skin cells. Your face will feel so refreshed and invigorated. It's safe to exfoliate at home too. There are several over the counter facial cleansers with exfoliators. It's safe to exfoliate at least once a week or so. You don't want to overdo it and dry your skin out with irritation. Always use moisturizer and a toner if so desired.   Most of all, remember to use sunscreen when you are out in the sun and heat. Do you know that all you need is just 20 minutes a day of sunlight to get your daily requirement of vitamin D?   Stay cool and enjoy your summer!
