Total Body Care....Why?

Posted: November 11th, 2015

If you think about it, our bodies are working 24/7. That's a lot of wear and tear and it can take a toll. It's our responsibility to rest up and recharge. When we take that break and rest up we are practicing total body care. In doing so, we are making life more livable and hopefully for a very long time. Treating your body well is a necessity and not a luxury.   Massage therapy is an excellent way to take care of your body. A trip to the day spa even once a month has its benefits. The benefits of spa treatments include – relieves stress, encourages relaxation, helps manage pain, improves flexibility and range of motion, relaxes muscles and lowers blood pressure. All of these spa treatments benefit total body care.  The immune system is dependent on other systems of the body, therefore, it is important to care for the body as a whole, rather than specifically focus on improving the immune system. The cardiovascular system, skeletal system, digestive system, and nervous system play intricate roles in the processes that support the immune system's functioning. Any woman should see the importance of total body care when focusing on improving immunity.   Your skin is your largest organ, and it's your first line of defense against disease and infection. Of course it's important to focus your anti-aging efforts on your face, but five minutes a day could make a huge difference for the rest of your body too. Total body care includes skin protection and moisturizing. No one wants to look old before their time. Exercise is also very important for total body care. Don't use it, you lose it. You must keep your body moving and the blood circulating for good health.
