Unplug!

There is nothing more annoying than someone talking on their cell phone in a public place. It's very rude, and really no one is interested in anything you have to say. A little common courtesy goes a long way. Besides, why go to a day spa if all you're going to do is talk and text on your phone? How relaxing is that?   It's called spa etiquette! I'm sure every day spa you go to displays their policies. Turning off cell phones should be a given. It's not rocket science. But, after all, why are you there? You are seeking some form of treatment. Whether you are there for a facial, manicure, pedicure or even massage therapy, the idea is to relax and enjoy. Shut your mind off and separate yourself from reality and most of all electronic technology. This is the time for you to unwind and re-energize yourself both physically and mentally.  Life is busy and hectic enough. We all need to find some healing. Thank Goodness there are day spas. Just taking a time out for some "me time" can be very rejuvenating. Unplug yourself from the rest of the world. Try leaving your cell phone in the car so you won't be tempted to pick it up and answer that next call. Nothing is that important that in can't wait an hour or so. Out of respect and consideration of the other spa guests and to ensure your relaxation and serenity, turn off your cell phone during your spa treatment.   Here's a plus. Take a look around you and start a conversation with other guests and your technicians working on you. You can never meet too many people. Maybe you might even make some new friends. Unplug yourself from technology and open yourself to meeting new people. Wouldn't it be nice to make a new friend who you can meet for a manicure a few times a month at the day spa?
