There are very many ways of achieving beauty, but wearing makeup to bed is not one of them. Sleeping with makeup on is a hindrance to attaining your desired beauty. The following are some reasons as to why you should not wear makeup to bed.

Leads to pores getting clogged

Sleeping with makeup on can lead to clogged pores, just because most makeup products are made of ingredients such as silicones which cause pores blockage. Clogged pores cause your skin to be bumpy, and if you're prone to acne, there's likelihood to have breakouts. To avoid your pores getting clogged, make sure you use makeup remover to take off your makeup before cleansing.

You end up getting acne

Acne is a skin infection that affects hair follicles as well as the oil glands of the skin. The infection comes by when your pores get blocked from emitting sebum, as a result of sleeping with makeup, leading to your pores enlarging and overtime leading to acne. To prevent getting acne, exfoliate and perform a proper cleansing.

Skin cells get damaged

Sleeping with makeup on can cause damage to your skin cells. Makeup can easily trap free-radicals as well as environmental pollutants which can cause harm to skin cells and also collagen, resulting in aging of the premature skin.

Leads to dullness of your skin

The skin is the largest body organ; it carries out vital functions such as excreting lipids, heat regulation, secreting sweat and healing wounds. For this reason, it's of utmost importance that you regularly clean, and you exfoliate your skin to avoid it becoming dull and also for good health and wellness. Proper care is crucial for your skin's health and wellness, thereby, you should at all cost avoid wearing makeup to bed to maintain a healthy skin and prevent your skin cells from getting damaged. For proper removal of makeup, it's highly recommended that you use a makeup remover.
