Where are your Spa Manners?
Posted: January 23rd, 2019
People visit a day spa to be pampered, but they also go for relaxation. A spa is a perfect environment to relieve stress. The best spas are those that are quiet and well-staffed. The next time you visit a spa, be sure to observe the following etiquette rules to make the experience more enjoyable for yourself and others.
Keep Noise to a Minimum
Silence your cell phone, or leave it in your bedroom. If you're enjoying your massage therapy or sauna treatment with a companion, speak quietly to him or her. Yelling or shouting could disturb other guests who are trying to relax and enjoy a spa treatment.
Be Courteous Toward Staff Members
Staff members are responsible for your massages, your pedicures and for keeping your environment clean and welcoming. Show your thanks by being pleasant toward them. Tip generously. Thank staff members graciously, especially for a job well done.
Be Courteous to Other Customers
In addition to being quiet and respectful, another thing you can do is keep yourself clean. Take a shower with soap before getting into a hot tub or lying down on a massage table. Yes, it's true that the tubs and tables are cleaned and changed regularly. However, you can do your part by keeping dirt and untidiness to a minimum. Getting into a hot tub with excess dirt and oil on your body ruins the experience for others.
As previously stated, spa time is enjoyable and relaxing. To have a joyful spa experience, observe the aforementioned spa manners. Keep quiet, be tidy and be respectful of staff and guests. This will ensure that other spa-goers enjoy the experience, too.
